MEDIA ADVISORY – NOT FOR PUBLICATION
Jeremy Townsend, Communications Director, Groupe Renault UK & Ireland has decided to leave the company with immediate effect in order to pursue a new opportunity within the automotive industry.
Jeremy had been with Groupe Renault for over twenty years, having joined in March 1997. During this time, he held a variety of sales and marketing roles before moving into the Press Office in 2007 – first as Press Relations Manager and then, from 2011, as Communications Director.
Vincent Tourette, Managing Director, Groupe Renault UK & Ireland commented: “Jeremy was instrumental in the successful launch of many generations of new Renault, Dacia and Alpine models during his time with the company. His passion for these brands, and the wider automotive industry, will, I’m sure, have been known to many of you. I would like to thank him on behalf of Groupe Renault UK & Ireland for his immense contribution during his time here and wish him well for the future.”
An announcement will be made in due course about a replacement. In the interim, Matthew Bendall, Press Relations Manager, Groupe Renault UK & Ireland, will oversee all Press & PR activities.
